These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the FreeFuelPrice UK mobile application and website (together, the "Service"), operated by FreeFuelPriceApp Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using FreeFuelPrice UK, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that:

• You are at least 13 years old.
• You have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
• If you are using the Service on behalf of a business, you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.

If you do not agree, please uninstall the app and stop using the Service.

2. Service description

2.1 What FreeFuelPrice UK does

FreeFuelPrice UK is a free fuel price comparison app for the United Kingdom. It lets you:

• Find the cheapest petrol, diesel, and E10 fuel stations near your current location.
• Browse a price heatmap across the UK.
• Look up a vehicle's MOT history and check its MOT expiry date.
• Save your favourite stations and vehicles for quick access.

2.2 Fuel price data — important notice

Fuel prices shown in FreeFuelPrice UK are sourced from live UK petrol price feeds and are updated regularly. However:

• Prices are indicative only. They represent the last reported price and may not reflect the actual price at the pump at the moment you visit.
• Always check the price displayed at the forecourt before filling up. The price shown on-site is the legally binding price.
• We make no guarantee as to the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any price data.
• Opening hours, facilities, and station availability shown in the app are also indicative and may not reflect real-time conditions.

2.3 The Service is free

FreeFuelPrice UK is free to download and use. There are no in-app purchases, subscription fees, or advertising at launch.

3. MOT data

3.1 Source

MOT history and expiry information is provided directly by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) via its official MOT History API, and vehicle details are provided by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA).

3.2 Informational use only

MOT data shown in FreeFuelPrice UK is for information purposes only. It is not a legal certificate of roadworthiness and does not constitute proof that a vehicle holds a valid MOT or is legally roadworthy. You should verify MOT status directly with DVSA at https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/ before relying on it for any legal or commercial purpose.

3.3 Accuracy

We present MOT data as received from DVSA. We are not responsible for errors or omissions in data held by DVSA or DVLA. If you believe data is incorrect, contact DVSA or DVLA directly.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use FreeFuelPrice UK only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Use the Service to collect, store, or process data about other people without their consent.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the app.
• Use automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access or extract data from the Service.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our systems or infrastructure.
• Transmit any viruses, malware, or other harmful code.
• Use the Service in a way that could damage, overload, or impair its operation.
• Use the Service for any fraudulent, deceptive, or unlawful activity.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service for any breach of these terms.

5. Accounts

5.1 Optional accounts

Creating an account is not required to use FreeFuelPrice UK's core features. An account lets you sync saved vehicles and stations across devices.

5.2 Account security

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Notify us at support@freefuelpriceapp.com immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

5.3 Account termination

You may delete your account at any time from within the app settings or by emailing support@freefuelpriceapp.com. We will delete your account data within 30 days of a valid request.

6. Intellectual property

6.1 Our content

The FreeFuelPrice UK app, its design, logo, branding, and any content we create are owned by or licensed to FreeFuelPriceApp Ltd and protected by UK and international intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from them without our written permission.

6.2 Third-party data

Fuel price data, MOT data, and vehicle data are sourced from third parties (fuel retailers, DVSA, DVLA). That data remains the property of the respective sources and is used under applicable licences or open-government licences. DVSA MOT data is provided under the Open Government Licence v3.0.

6.3 User content

You do not submit any creative content to FreeFuelPrice UK. Any vehicle registrations or preferences you store remain yours.

7. Disclaimers

7.1 Price accuracy

Fuel prices are indicative and sourced from third-party feeds. We do not guarantee that prices shown are accurate at the time of your visit to a station. Always verify the price at the pump.

7.2 Opening hours

Station opening hours are provided for convenience and may be out of date. We do not guarantee that a station will be open when shown.

7.3 Route safety

Any routing or navigation functionality is provided for general guidance only. Do not interact with the app while driving. You are solely responsible for your own safety and compliance with traffic laws.

7.4 Service availability

We aim to keep FreeFuelPrice UK available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend or withdraw the Service for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control.

7.5 No warranty

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, the Service is provided "as is" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

• FreeFuelPriceApp Ltd's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to £100.
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special loss, including loss of profits, loss of data, or loss of goodwill.
• Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if:

• You breach these Terms.
• We are required to do so by law or a court order.
• We decide to discontinue the Service.

On termination, all rights granted to you under these Terms cease. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Governing Law) will survive.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via in-app notification or email (if you have an account) at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also have rights under the law of your home jurisdiction and may bring proceedings in the courts of that jurisdiction.
